Is there an easy way to keypad program our control panels for local downloading only?
There is an easy way to program our new control panels for local downloading only. In firmware versions that support the NL-MOD (a device allowing the reporting of alarms over a TCP/IP-based Intranet or Internet network), we added a Central Station Receiver Format named "Disable" for use with NL-MOD communications. Disable can be programmed to make these control panels support local downloading only (identical to the Express series of control panels).
Please note the Disable format is not listed in the control panel programming instructions for the GEM-P816, GEM-P1632 and GEM-P1664, but is listed in the GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600 and the GEM-X255 instructions. To program, proceed as follows:
For the GEM-P816, GEM-P1632 and the GEM-P1664, simply program an "F" in address 0460 (Central Station Format Telco 1) and 0482 (Central Station Format Telco 2); when programmed, the panel communicator will be turned off.
For the GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600 and the GEM-X255, simply program an "F" in address 0525 (Central Station Format Telco 1) and 0550 (Central Station Format Telco 2); when programmed, the panel communicator will be turned off.
