FAQs
What is an E12-NN trouble code and how can I resolve this?
An E12-NN trouble indicates a Burg EZM (zone expansion module) response trouble (an EZM is not communicating with the control panel). Verify the EZM address jumpers are properly set. If using a keypad EZM, ensure the EZM has been properly addressed. All EZM modules must be programmed consecutively (1,2,3,4, etc.). EZM modules are programmed in groups of 4: Thus if using an 8-zone EZM, program to enable two EZM groups, and the next EZM address would be skipped (i.e. 1 then 3). If the EZM groups and address numbers are correct, try wiring the EZM directly at the control panel. If the trouble clears, a open or damaged wire is the likely cause. If the trouble persists and programming and addressing are correct, replace the module. NN denotes EZM number.
