FAQs
The message "Socket state: 9" appears when PCD-Windows Quickloader software is used to remotely upload from (or download to) a control panel using an NL-MOD Network Communication Module or an iRemote-MOD Remote Control Module. What can I do?
The message "Socket state: 9" appears when the NL-MOD is unreachable by the IP address used. This message can appear if the IP address is incorrect, if the NL-MOD is offline, or if there is a firewall preventing access on port 10081. If remote communication does not succeed yet local communication (with a network cable) is successful, first confirm that the public IP address at the premises is correct; if correct, contact the IT administrator to ensure port 10081 is open inbound for the MAC Address of the NL-MOD or iRemote-MOD. If the message also appears for local communication, the NL-MOD is either offline or the IP address is incorrect. Use the NL-MODCONFIG software to search for the NL-MOD on that IP network and determine if the NL-MOD is online and if the correct IP address is in use.
