If the standard default procedure on a DL2700 will not restore the default Master Code, how can I resolve this?
If you are following the standard default procedure and the DL2700 will not restore the default Master Code (1 2 3 4 5), try varying the timing after reconnecting battery power as follows:
Step 1:
Remove the battery cover (located on the inside housing assembly) and unplug the battery. Press and hold the AL key for 5 seconds, then release.
Step 2:
Reconnect the battery plug, wait 1 second, then press and hold the AL key for 5 seconds. Press the default factory Master Code (1 2 3 4 5). If the default procedure is successful, the lock LED flashes green and the outside lever engages the door latch for 5 seconds and then relocks. If the default procedure is unsuccessful, the lock LED flashes red (with 5 beeps) and the outside lever does not engage the door latch. Repeat Step 1 above and follow Step 2B below.
Step 2B:
Reconnect the battery and wait 2 seconds, then press and hold the AL key for 5 seconds. Repeat Step 1 above and follow Step 2C below.
Step 2C:
Reconnect the battery and wait 3 seconds, then press and hold the AL key for 5 seconds. Press the default factory Master Code (1 2 3 4 5).
