FAQs
How can Trilogy T3 models, including wireless Networx, be configured so the lock remains unlocked, using a remote maintained closure? (Excludes the DL2700, DL2800, DL3000 and all narrow-style models)
By default, shorting the two Remote Input wires allows passage by unlocking the above referenced lock models for the duration of the programmed Pass Time. To program the lock to remain unlocked for as long as the Remote Input wires are shorted, a special feature named "Forced Unlock Follows Remote Input" is available. Program as follows:
1. Enter keypad Program Mode.
2. The Remote Input wires are enabled at the factory; if disabled, re-enable by pressing AL, 6, 5, * ;otherwise skip this step.
3. Enable the "Forced Unlock Follows Remote Input" feature by pressing AL, 6, 7, AL, 3, 0, *
You can also program the "Forced Unlock Follows Remote Input" feature using DL-Windows software, as follows:
1. Open the Account and click to select the lock you wish to program.
2. Click the "Feat" (Features) button on the toolbar.
3. In the Features screen, click the Remote tab.
4. Check the "Forced Unlock Follows Remote" checkbox to select.
Note: When the "Forced Unlock Follows Remote" feature is activated, the event log entry is displayed as "Unlock – Held by Remote Input".
Be aware that activating the Remote Input for an extended period of time will drain the battery; to avoid battery power loss, we recommend using an external DL power supply such as the Alarm Lock model PP100 Battery Eliminator.
