FAQs
How do I configure Emergency Free Access on a GEM-ACM1D zone?
The GEM-ACM1D Access Control Module is an accessory that adds integrated access control to the burglary alarm functions of the GEM-X255, GEM-P3200 and GEM-P9600 control panels. It provides controlled access to a door by releasing a locking device (such as a magnetic lock or electric strike) when a proper credential is presented to the card reader. Access control is integrated with the burglary functions of the control panel. It can be used to arm and disarm the system, annunciate and report alarms and troubles, and monitor the access door without the need for additional contacts.
1. Open PCD-Windows Quickloader software, select an unused zone in the Zone Configuration screen, and configure the zone as a 24-Hour Burglary Zone.
2. Open the Keypad Assignment screen, ACM Assignments tab. Enter the zone number created in step 1 into the Emergency Free Access, Zone Number field:

3. Connect your access card reader or other emergency trigger to that zone. When activated, the system will unlock all configured ACM-controlled doors.
The GEM-ACM1D supports a variety of card readers, including 26-bit standard Wiegand card readers. The GEM-ACM1D also supports a variety of "Request to Exit" devices.
