How do I install the Yale full format interchangeable core tailpiece (part S6070-Y)?
For Models DL2700, DL2800, DL3000, PDL3000, DL3200, DL4100, PDL4100, DL6100, PDL6100 when configured for Yale full-format interchangeable core:
Each Alarm Lock lockset requires a specific cylinder tailpiece in order to function properly. All cylindrical models configured for the Yale full format interchangeable core include two special tailpieces (only one will be installed depending on the length of the cylinder), and two round spacers as shown in the photos below.
Install both round spacers into the lever first, then the correct tailpiece, and finally the cylinder. The photo below displays the proper installation of the tailpiece and spacers (the lever and cylinder are removed for clarity).
