FAQs
In the NAPCO NOC website (www.NapcoNOC.com), what does the "Waiting for initial checkin..." message signify?

This message often appears shortly after first registering a StarLink communicator followed by the immediate attempt to activate and program the communicator in the NOC. The solution is to simply power the StarLink communicator and wait for the "Waiting for initial checkin..." message to change to "Device Running Properly" before programming. Important: Do not select the Cancel Pending Upload/Download button and attempt to program the unpowered StarLink communicator as this will likely result in incomplete programming data being pushed to the communicator upon power up.

Optional Workaround: Temporarily power the StarLink communicator with a 12V battery, wait for the "Device Running Properly" message, program the communicator and then power down.
