How do I address the GEM-ACM1D Access Control Module to a specific keypad number?
To address and assign the GEM-ACM1D Access Control Module to a specific keypad number, use PCD-Windows Quickloader software as follows:
1. Open the System Assignment screen, System Options tab and be sure Enable ACM Access is checked (enabled).
2. Open the Keypad Assignment screen, ACM Assignment tab. Select the first empty Keypad location, the next available keypad address will automatically populate. The below example shows the first available keypad is number 3.
3. Select the Keypad Assignment tab. The ACM module will automatically populate in the next keypad location as Type: ACM. The below example shows the ACM assigned to keypad location number 3.
4. On the ACM module PC board, jumper JP2 must be configured by selecting the correct jumper settings for the keypad address previously configured in the Quickloader software. As highlighted in the table below, the JP2 jumper pins in 'columns' 1 and 2 must be shunted to address the ACM as keypad address number 3:
