How do I update my StarLink communicator firmware?
Open the NAPCO NOC (StarLink Radio Management Center) at www.NapcoNOC.com, open the communicator you wish to update and proceed as follows:
- Select the Checkins tab:
- Select Firmware Download:
- Check the box for Smart Download:
- Select Initiate Firmware Download: Note: For Fire communicators, remove jumper 1 on Jumper Block X5.
- Select Yes in the confirmation screen that appears:
- When complete, select OK:
- The communicator will automatically power cycle. Select Refresh and verify the Current Firmware Version matches the version number listed in the Available Firmware to Download drop-down (example shown below):
