FAQs
With an Alarm Lock Trilogy door lock, will the lock keypad be temporarily disabled if someone tries to enter a disabled or invalid User Code?
Yes, the keypad will be disabled ("locked-out") after a programmable number (1-9) of unsuccessful User Code entry attempts for a programmable time period (1-60 seconds). By default, after six (6) failed credential attempts, Trilogy T3 door locks will disable the keypad and Proximity reader (if present) for about 18 seconds (the "Lockout" time).
To adjust the number of failed attempts: Use Function 60 to set a number between 1 and 9. For example, to disable the keypad after nine (9) invalid attempts:
- Enter Program Mode and press: [AL] 6 0 [AL] 9 [Star].
To adjust the Lockout time: Use Function 61 to set the number of seconds between 01 and 60. For example, to disable the keypad for 55 seconds:
- Enter Program Mode and press: [AL] 6 1 [AL] 5 5 [Star].
