How do I wire up one 8 door panel to another 8 door panel using MULTI-DROP mode?
VERY IMPORTANT: CONTINENTAL ACCESS RECOMMENDS USING REPEAT MODE. Multidrop has limitations including a 4000 feet limit between the first and last panel, and a total of 9 panels in the multi-drop chain.
//The wiring below is when you are using a RS-422 converter at the CardAccess 3000 host computer which connects to the first panel via the 4 RS-422 wires.

(MT-) Pin 12------------------------------------------------------------Pin 12 (MT-)
(MR+) Pin 13 ----------------------------------------------------------Pin 13 (MR+)

Important Notes:
- Multi-drop pins on the first panel, connect to Multidrop pins on the second panel.
- (T)ransmit pins on the first panel, connect to (T)ransmit pins on the second panel.
- (R)eceive pins on the first panel, connect to (R)eceive pins on the second panel.
- Polorities on the first panel, connect to the same polarities on the second panel (ex. + to +) and (- to -)
- Place the mode jumper in the "Multi-drop" mode.
- Place the EOL2 jumper on the last panel only.
Note: Refer to the Panel Installation and Service manuals for complete MULTIDROP wiring diagrams.
