What can cause a "Badge Violate Facility" alert message to display?
Summary: This alert message normally displays when the facility codes are configured properly, but the facility code is not a match. In the CardAccess 3000 software, verify the following settings:
1) Click Administration>Facility Codes. Verify the Facility Code of the badge being presented is located in one of the ten boxes listed for each panel. Each panel can hold up to ten facility codes. If only one Facility Code is being used, it should be in box one. Facility codes must be entered in a hexadecimal value (ex B036).
2) Click Personnel. Verify the Facility Code number for the badge being presented corresponds to the correct box on the Facility Code screen (1-10). If Facility Codes are not used, a zero must be entered on the Personnel screen.
3) If the facility codes are not matching, you can refer to the box that the badges came in. There should be a site code/facility code number on the outside of the box. If the site code/facility code is a decimal number, it must be converted to hexadecimal using the Windows calculator in scientific or progammer mode.
Example facility code conversion from Decimal to Hex:
255 (Dec) = FF (Hex)
