FAQs
Do the Gemini control panels support a delay before reporting a tripped zone?
Yes, if you need a zone delay before reporting, add a delay using the Zone Configuration screen in PCD-Windows Quickloader software:
- Select Zone Type and a purple Zone Configuration box will appear.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Delayed Trip Time 1 and apply the changes.
- Open Time Selection located in System Options.
- Scroll to the bottom and enter the time you want the system to wait before tripping (select between 2 - 255 minutes). There are two Delayed Trip settings to allow for different trip delays if needed.
- Download differences to the control panel and test the zone for the correct delay time, ensuring the zone stays tripped for the entire duration of the time programmed.
This Delayed Trip feature is intended for monitoring high/low ambient temperatures and for monitoring appliances such as generators and other environmental control equipment. It is not recommended for use with burglary zones. Note: This feature applies to all Gemini control panels excluding the GEM-P801.
