FAQs
When arming or disarming a GEM-TOUCH keypad, I don't hear the keypad exit and entry tones. How do I enable them?
Keypad exit and entry tones indicate that the system is arming or disarming. These tones serve to warn the user to either exit the premises or disarm the system upon entering. Although these tones are enabled by default, if you do not hear them, proceed as follows:
- Launch PCD-Windows Quickloader, access the Account and open the System Assignment screen, System Options tab. Check the Enable SIA FAR Exit/Entry Limits checkbox and click OK:
- At the GEM-TOUCH keypad Home screen, tap the System Settings ("gears") icon.
- Tap the Keypad Configuration Code (1 1 1 2 3), followed by Enter.
- In the System Settings screen, tap User KP Config.
- Tap the AudioLevel button to turn the audio level Off, then tap Save.
- Tap the AudioLevel button again to cycle through the audio settings. When the desired setting appears, tap Save, then tap Exit.
