FAQs
With my GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600 and GEM-X255 NAPCO Gemini control panels, all running firmware version 70 and later, I am using revision 9E keypads to enter User Program Mode that I entered using the Master Security Code. Although I can view existing User Codes, why am I unable to change or delete them?
The User Codes that you were unable to change or delete were programmed with Blocked View, allowing them to be viewed but not changed or deleted.
A specific burglary User Code can be programmed with the attribute "BV" (Blocked View) that prevents the viewing or modifying of that User Code unless the User Code that was used to enter User Program Mode also has Blocked View programmed.
Entering User Program Mode with an unblocked Code will disallow the viewing of blocked Codes, but entering User Program Mode with a blocked Code will allow viewing of ALL Codes.
With the GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600 and GEM-X255 control panels (with firmware version 70 and later and using a revision 9E keypad), entering User Program Mode with the Master Security Code and/or the Dealer Program Code will allow the viewing of all Codes but will disallow changing or deleting blocked Codes.
Note: With the Gemini C-Series (GEMC) control panels, Blocked View is supported with Burglary keypads (GEMC-BK1 keypads) in Burglary-Only systems.
