What utility do I use to discover a new E-Access controller?
You must use the Smart IP-Finder utility.
The Smart IP-Finder utility can be downloaded from the Continental Document library, under Products>E-Access. It will be in the list with the E-Access documents.

The factory default address of the E-Access unit is 192.168.0.250 and 255.255.255.0. Configure the host PC to 192.168.0.255 and 255.255.255.0, and connect directly from the PC to the controller. Next, launch the Smart IP-Finder utility and click SCAN. The E-Access controller should display. Please verify by viewing the MAC address.
Next, you must program in a STATIC IP address into the E-Access controller. This IP address must never change. The Static IP address can be programmed in using the Smart IP-Finder utility by clicking "Change Network Address".
Very Important: If the Smart IP-Finder utility is not finding the controller, you can try to perform a factory reset on the controller. In addition, disable any firewalls such as symantec.
