FAQs
Can I increase how often DL-Windows backs up my database?
Yes! DL-Windows versions 5.3.3, 5.4.2 and 5.5.3 each include an automatic backup feature that creates an image of your database and stores it on your local C: drive. By default, the automatic backup frequency is Monthly. To increase or decrease the backup frequency, use the Options button in the DL-Windows toolbar. At the bottom of the Options screen is the Database Backup, Automatic Backup Duration pull-down selections:
Once the duration is set, your backup files will be routed to the specific folder path shown in the Options screen (circled in the image above).
It is important to note that the specified folder CANNOT BE CHANGED. If you would like to change where these are backup files stored, simply copy and paste the .bak files to the folder of your choosing. Always remember the files must be automatically saved in the specified folder first, and then copied (not moved) to an alternate location.
