FAQs
Does the control panel need to be programmed in a particular way if I want to use the Notifications feature to send SMS text messages or emails from the NOC?
Use a programmed telephone number of "9999999999" if you wish to use the Notifications feature to send SMS text messages or emails from the NOC.
Communication to the central station will not occur if the control panel is programmed to dial "9999999999" (i.e. ten nines) for the central station receiver telephone number. This is also true when using Dealer Entered Programming in the NAPCO NOC website (www.NapcoNOC.com).
The NOC website uses "9999999999" as a "dead end" telephone number, i.e. the signals will not go from the NOC out to your central station. Any other combination of 10 digits can be used for a valid central station receiver telephone number.
