Do you have a simplified User's Guide for the Magnum Alert MA1000, MA1008 and MA1016 control panels?
The following is a simplified User's Guide for the Magnum Alert MA1000, MA1008 and MA1016 control panels:
To Arm
Check for solid green Status light that indicates "System Ready". Enter your User Code. The red Status light indicates the system is armed.
To Arm Instant
Arm as above and hold down 4 key until function beep sounds. The red Armed light flashes rapidly to indicate the perimeter is now protected by an "instant" alarm.
Bypassing Zones
Press the B key once followed by the zone (number) to be bypassed. Repeat to bypass multiple zones.
Group Bypass
Multiple zones may be bypassed simultaneously by pressing the B key twice (MA1000 and MA1008) or 3 times (MA1016).
To Disarm
Enter your User Code.
Display Bypass
Press and hold 2 key until the function beep sounds; continue to hold down to display bypassed zones.
Priority "P" FLASHING with a steady sounder.
To reset, enter code again.
Troubles
Identify and close open zones, a green Status light will appear, then arm. If necessary, bypass problem zones and call for service.
AC Power Failure
"1" Displayed with all LEDs Flashing indicates an AC power loss. AC-Failure indicator will clear when AC power is restored. To arm, press and hold the 9 key for two seconds then enter code.
Low Battery
"2" Displayed with all LEDs Flashing indicates a low battery condition. This condition will clear when the battery power has returned to its specified level. Battery voltage is tested every 24 hours.
Communication Failure: Zone 3 "LED" On and 1 "Beep": The system was not able to report to the central station. This trouble will clear after it has been acknowledged by viewing the system trouble as long as the telephone line has passed a line cut test (tested automatically by the control panel).
Fire Trouble: Zone 2 LED on and 2 beeps: A problem has been detected in the fire circuit. Resetting (Burg): To silence, enter code and press ON/OFF. To clear after an Alarm, alarm memory (Flashing Zone) press and hold RESET for 2 seconds.
(Fire)
To silence, enter User Code and press ON/OFF. The siren will silence and the fire symbol will stop flashing. Press RESET to reset the Fire Zone.
Program Users
- Press FUNCTION followed by the 8 key and enter your Dealer Keypad Program Code. The Armed / Status / Trouble lights flash and the keypad beeps 4 times (system is in User Program Mode). Zone 1-8 will light to indicate User Codes currently programmed.
- Press the User Number to be programmed. The keypad will beep twice and the corresponding zone will flash to indicate the User Number you are about to program.
- Press four numbers (the new User Code). The keypad will beep 4 times. If there are more User Codes to program, return to step 2.
To Erase a User Code
Press the User Number to be erased. The keypad beeps twice and the corresponding zone flashes to indicate the User Number to be erased. Press BYPASS and the light turns off indicating the User Code is erased. If there are more User Codes to be erased, repeat this step.
Exit User Program Mode
Press RESET to exit.
