In the DL-Windows Features screen, why is the "Disable Sounder" option unavailable for my DL2800 lock?
While "Disable Sounder" is a feature that is inherent in many of our locks, this feature is omitted from the DL-Windows Features screen for the DL2800 lock, as shown in the following image:
The "Disable Sounder" feature was originally introduced with our DL3200 model, and all higher numbered models also include the "Disable Sounder" feature (such as the PDL3000, DL4100, PDL4100, PDL4500, ETDL, ETPDL, DL3500, PDL3500 and all Networx products).
If you were to open the DL-Windows Features screen with a model DL3200, the option "Disable Sounder" is available (shown below). However, if you wish to enable the "Disable Sounder" feature, always be certain the model number is at least a DL3200 or higher.
