FAQs
Can I use PCD-Windows Quickloader downloading software to make changes to the FireLink control panel Over-The-Air ?
The FireLink control panel has a pre-loaded Easy Default Program intended for sprinkler supervisory or basic conventional fire applications. For applications outside the scope of the default program, the FireLink system may be programmed Over-The-Air using NAPCO PCD-Windows Quickloader downloading software. Before preforming a download, the control panel must be placed into an "Error Check Mode" by a technician on site:
The following steps are required to enable the program download from the control panel annunciator:
- Enter the Master Security Code.
- Press ENTER (the display will flash "Keypad Unlocked"), then press MENU repeatedly until the display reads "Enable Program".
- Press the YES / NEXT key. (Note that the control panel will display an "E28 Service Error Check Required" system trouble).
- Download the changes to the control panel. The E28 system trouble will clear.
Note: The above steps are only required to download changes to the control panel program. Uploading the program, the panel log or status can be performed at any time without requiring a technician on site.
