FAQs
I have a version 70 (or greater) GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600 or a GEM-X255 "no EPROM" control panel, and I want to erase the entire control panel program (e.g. user codes, schedules, etc.), in order to return the panel back to its original factory condition. Unfortunately, I am unable to use Direct Access Keypad Configuration Mode to perform this "Cold Start" (by accessing address #4093). Is there another way I can I perform a manual "Cold Start"?
Perform the following steps:
- Place a jumper wire between lug E4 and lug E19.
- Move the KEYPAD CONFIGURE jumper to CONFIG mode for 5 seconds, then move the jumper back to NORMAL.
- Remove the jumper wire installed in step 1. The keypad will display the "E09-Cold Start" selection. Press ENTER to perform the "Cold Start" process.
