FAQs
How do I wire and program supervised NAC extenders with my Gemini C-Series (GEMC) and Firewolf control panel?
Some fire installations require additional NAC circuits beyond the integral NACs provided on the control panel. All Gemini C-Series (GEMC) and Firewolf control panels have the ability to synchronize up five supervised NAC extenders (using System Sensor or Wheelock strobes or horn/strobes that provide four additional NAC circuits per extender).
Each NAC supervised extender requires a relay board address (J4) and an EZM address (J6) (see the installation instructions for correct jumper settings).
You must dedicate an on-board NAC (programmed for Silenceable and Smart) to run to each Extender in order to provide syncing, if required. In addition, each Extender requires a 4-wire connection to the control panel fire bus for supervision of AC fail / low battery and system ground fault / earth ground troubles. See the installation instructions for the maximum length of the bus wiring.
In the NAC/Output Assignment screen, NAC/Output Assignments tab, for the control panel integral outputs, program the required NAC circuits for Silenceable and Smart. For each relay board that you are installing, enable the Fire NAC Extender. Note: Supervised NAC Extenders may only be programmed to Boards #1-5.
In the NAC/Output Events tab, create an Event for each NAC Extender used.
In the System Assignment screen, EZM Assignments tab, program the EZM address programmed on the NAC Extender to 4 Zone NAC Ext.
Note: Be sure to check the NAC Extender installation instructions for compatible devices.
