I am using the Honeywell Compass software to program a Vista alarm control panel, but I am using a combination of Honeywell AlarmNet and Napco StarLink radios. Should I perform any additional programming within the Honeywell Compass software?
Yes. When using Honeywell Compass software for programming Vista alarm control panels, and when using a combination of Honeywell AlarmNet and Napco StarLink radios, create a second TCP/IP port in the Compass software for StarLink radios, as follows:
- In the Configure TCPIP Port screen (shown below), select an unused TCP/IP port and click Add. Note: Do not change the IP address required for AlarmNet radios.
- When connecting to StarLink radios, be sure to select the 2nd TCP/IP port before connecting (see image below).
