FAQs
What are Opening / Closing Signals, and how do I use PCD-Windows to program Opening / Closing Signals in my GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600 or GEM-X255 control panel?
If Opening / Closing Signals are programmed, a signal is transmitted to the central station whenever the control panel is either armed or disarmed.
Programming in PCD-Windows Quickloader:
- Digital Communications > Subscriber ID Numbers: In the "Open/Close Area 1" row, type an account number. Note: If system has more than one Area, you must type an Account Number for each Area.
- User Assignment > User Reporting Open/Close: for each user, add a check to the Telco 1 Closing column and the Telco 1 Opening column.
Note: Be sure to verify the control panel clock time and date are accurate. In addition, verify the reporting format is Contact ID. No additional programming data is required.
