FAQs
Do all EPI templates and information migrate over from CardAccess 3000 to CA4K?
YES...All the EPI information in the CardAccess 3000 database will migrate over to the CA4K database while executing the CA4K Migration utility. Even though all templates are stored in the database, it is highly recommended to manually copy over all the .dgn files and images that were used to design the templates (ex. photos, static images, logos....). In case of a database failure, you will have the source files to recreate them.
Notes:
The CA3000 templates get updated in the CA4K when you actually use the template. It is not during the migration.
If you are using a V1.0.x, the physical template files are not saved. It is recommended to upgrade to a V1.1.x of CA4K.
Unlike the CA3000 software, the CA4K .dgn files do not have a descriptive name. They have a unique number assigned as a file name with the extension of .dgn (ex. 293652.dgn).
VERY IMPORTANT - Please contact CONTINENTAL TECHNICAL SUPPORT to verify you are using the latest version of CA4K and the latest available service packs.
As of 12/1/2021, the current released version of CA4K is V1.1.35 build 149, with Service Pack 1.
