FAQs
What can cause the CICP2100 and CICP2100S (Universe) controllers not to poll?
If all the Network settings are correct and the CA4K is programmed correctly, verify the following things:
1) Verify the IP address programmed under the CA4K or CA3K Comport (channels) matches the IP address programmed in the CICP2100 and CICP2100S. Use the Universe Finder web utility to verify the IP address programmed into the Universe unit. The IP address should be static and must never change.
2) Verify the address switch on the CICP2100 and CICP2100S is in the correct position. Turn the switch back to zero, and turn it back to the original address counting the clicks. There is a possibility the switch is not in position. This address should match the address of the panel configured under Configuration>Panels.
3) The CICP2100 and CICP2100S baud rate Must be set to 57,6Kbps baud or above. Anything lower will cause inconsistant or no polling. It is recommended to use 961K BPS if you are not daisy chaining with other panels.
4) If the Universe (CICP2100/CICP2100S) is wired in repeat mode to other panels, the Universe can only repeat to an Accelaterm or an Accelarator board and at 115.2Kbps or higher.
