FAQs
What is the Test Timer feature, and how do I use PCD-Windows Quickloader software to program Test Timer in my GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600 or GEM-X255 control panel?
The Test Timer schedule is programmed into the control panel using NAPCO's PCD-Windows Quickloader software. If Test Timer is programmed, an automatic test report is transmitted to the central station on the scheduled day(s) at the scheduled time.
Programming in PCD-Windows Quickloader:
1. System Assignment > System Reporting and Outputs: In the "Test Timer" row, check "Report on Alarm Tel. 1".
2. Schedule Assignment > Event Scheduler: In the "Alarm User Schedules" tab, program as follows:
Alarm User column:
Type a Description and type a User number or Area number. In the Event column, select Test Timer from the pull-down menu.
Event Date column:
Check Weekly and in the Day of Week column, select a day of the week to initiate the Test Timer report from the pull-down menu.
Normal Hours column:
In the Start column, click in the field and type a time of the day to send the report. The time must be in the hh:mm tt format, where hh is the hour (1-12), mm is the minute (00-59) and tt is either AM or PM.
Note: Be sure to verify the control panel clock time and date are accurate. In addition, verify the reporting format is Contact ID. No additional programming data is required.
