FAQs
After installing my model 700 or 715 and CER-KD cylinder, the tailpiece is not retracting the bolt. What can I do?
The tailpiece on the Alarm Lock generic rim cylinder (CER-KD/12345) must be modified by the installer to operate the model 700 / 715. If the tailpiece is cut too long the cylinder and key will bind. If the tailpiece is cut too short it will not engage the mechanism when the key is turned. As shown in the image below, the perforated tailpiece of the cylinder must likely be cut down to the correct length.
