FAQs
How do I program PCD-Windows Quickloader so that when I press a keypad access code, the control panel PGM2 Output energizes an external relay for a specified period of time?
When "Panel Access" is enabled, pressing the Access Code on the keypad energizes the control panel PGM2 Output for a specified duration. Program PCD-Windows Quickloader as follows:
1. System Assignment > System Options: Check Access Control on PGM2 Output.
2. System Assignment > Time Selection: Enter the amount of time you want the PGM2 output to remain energized. Example: "10 Seconds". IMPORTANT: A time MUST be selected.
3. Keypad Assignment > Keypad Assignment: Enable "Panel Access" for all keypads that can be used to energize the PGM2 output.
4. User Assignment > User/System Codes: Go to the next undefined User Code and create a User Code for PGM2. Use the pull-down to set the Code Type in Area 1 / 2 to Access (do not check anything else). Note: PGMs go "LOW" when completing a path to ground (becomes negative [‒]).
CAUTION: PGMs must have an external relay connected; PGM2 current draw must not exceed 5mA.
5. Wire connections to and external NAPCO relay model RB1000:
- Red (+) of the RB1000 to AUX POWER positive (terminal 5)
- Black (‒) of the RB1000 to PGM2 (terminal 8)
Operation: At the system keypad, press the Access Code followed by ENTER (or ON/OFF).
