FAQs
How do I wire and program the DMP XT Series (XT30â„¢ or XT50â„¢) control panels for remote control using a Napco SLE series radio?
The DMP (Digital Monitoring Products) XT Series control panels are available in two models. The XT30™ offers 42 zones; 10 onboard and 32 via the eight keypad addresses. The XT50™ offers a maximum of 58 zones; 10 onboard and up to 32 wired or 48 wireless. To wire and program either of these DMP control panels for remote control using a Napco SLE series radio, proceed as follows:
Program a Zone as Momentary Keyswitch Arm
- In the DMP control panel, in the Zone Information menu, type the Zone Number and the Zone Name. Select "AR" as the Zone Type. This zone allows you to connect a keyswitch to a zone and use it to arm and disarm the system.
- In the Zone Information menu, select the zone Style as "TOGGLE":
Program the Output as "Armed Output"
- When programming for the Arm/Disarm Status, go to the Output Options menu and assign one of the available outputs as an "ARMED OUT". This output will now turn on whenever the system is armed and will turn off whenever the system is disarmed.
Program the StarLink Radio Management Center
- At www.NapcoNOC.com, log into the account.
- In the main programming screen that appears, type the Radio ID# into the View/Edit Radio Prog field and press ENTER (or click the Display Radio Summary button).
- Click the Inputs/Outputstab.
- Click the EDIT button at the bottom of the web page.
- In the Radio Inputs Configuration section, select any available input and select Armed Status from Panel. In the pull-down list (located to the right of the Contact ID Zone # field), select "N" (no reporting) for the reporting status of the input.
- In the Radio Outputs Configuration section, select PGM2 (or PGM3) and select Remote Arm/Disarm.
- In the Remote Arm / Disarm section, ensure that the Keyswitch Type is set to Momentary.
- Type text in the Create User Password for Remote Access field. Be sure to physically make note of this password in a secure location.
- Click SAVE when complete.
