FAQs
Why is my new Accelaterm (CICP2800) not functioning properly?
MOST COMMON ISSUE: Unlike other Continental Controllers, the Accelaterm (CICP2800) does not automatically initiate a firmware download when powered up for the first time. You MUST manually force a firmware download.
To verify if firmware has been downloaded to the Accelaterm (CICP2800), open up the communications driver screen (com driver screen) and verify the firmware is the correct version. Below is the current firmware version as of V2.11.17 B285.
Accelerator and Accelaterm firmware version:
V2.11.17 B285 - Firmware version 4.00.79
VERY IMPORTANT NOTES
1) - DO NOT USE V2.9.88 B276 on an Accelaterm panel. You must use V2.11.17 or later.
2) If wiring an Accelaterm in repeat or Multidrop mode, you can only repeat to an Accelerator or a CICP2100. Repeating to any other panel is not recommended due to a difference in packet sizes. In addition, the baud rate must be 115.2Kbps or higher.
