FAQs
Can you explain why the feature "Fire Alarm Verification" is not permitted on GEMC-EZM8 zones?
Fire Zones programmed for "Fire Alarm Verification" will, when tripped, cause all zones to power down for 5 seconds. After this 5-second power-down time, power is restored and a 20-second retard time is started. Thereafter, the zone will be active again. This represents a total processing delay of 25 seconds from the time the alarm is first detected. If an alarm condition still exists at this time or reoccurs within 100 seconds, an alarm will be initiated, otherwise the zone will return to its original state.
Do not program "Fire Alarm Verification" on GEMC-EZM8 zones. In addition, if "Fire Alarm Verification" is programmed on a GEMC-EZM8 zone, power will not be removed from the programmed zone.
