FAQs
Can the NAPCO control panels be programmed to provide constant 12VDC upon arming Area 1?
Yes! The NAPCO Gemini control panels GEM-P816, GEM-P1632, GEM-P1664, GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600, and GEM-X255 can be programmed to provide constant 12VDC upon arming Area 1. This is useful, for example, when installing an LED to indicate if the system is armed or disarmed.
With the GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600, and GEM-X255 control panels, connect the device to be powered to the panel Auxiliary Power terminal 13 for positive power and the panel motherboard E4 lug. In the PCD-Windows Quickloader System Assignment screen, System Options tab, enable Lug E4 Armed Away Area 1 Only. Upon arming away for Area 1, the 12VDC will energize the connected device.
With the GEM-P816, GEM-P1632, and GEM-P1664 panels, the programming is similar: Connect the device to be powered to the panel Auxiliary Power terminal 5 for positive power and the panel motherboard E15 lug. In the PCD-Windows Quickloader System Assignment screen, System Options tab, enable Lug E15 Armed Away Area 1 Only. Upon arming away for Area 1, the 12VDC will energize the connected device.
