FAQs
While attempting to connect to my Alarm Lock Networx lock, why does the DL-Windows screen read "Security Mismatch"?
A Security Password Mismatch occurs in DL-Windows when the Gateway Security Password and the Security Password set for the Account are not the same, therefore a successful connection cannot be established.
If a Security Password Mismatch occurs when attempting to update an Alarm Lock Trilogy T3 lock, the quickest option to correct the mismatch is to reset the lock back to its original factory settings. Another option is to restore a previously saved database using either the account file(s) or a database backup (.bak) file.
A password mismatch often occurs when the DL-Windows app has been either migrated to a new PC or updated to a newer version without creating a .bak or .acc backup file (it is the backup file that preserves the Security Password).
Resetting a lock can be accomplished through either the battery disconnect/reconnect method (detailed below) or through keypad programming using Function 99. For more details about resetting a Trilogy T3 lock, please see KA-01531.
Default the Lock and Change the Master Code:
- Disconnect the batteries.
- Press/hold down the [5] key for 15 seconds, then release.
- Reconnect the batteries and immediately press/hold down [AL] until you hear several beeps. The lock is now defaulted.
- Press the factory default Master Code [1 2 3 4 5 6] and press [AL] until you hear 6 beeps.
- Wait 6 seconds for a confirmation beep (the lock will then beep once every 6 seconds to confirm you are in Program Mode).
- Set the new Master Code: [AL] [1] [AL] [New Master Code] [AL] [New Master Code] [Star].
- Exit Program Mode: Press/hold down any keypad key for 5 seconds.
- Test new Master Code.
