Tech Note: Missed Alarm Signal due to Contact ID and 8-Digit Format Accounts on Same Receiver Line Card.
NAPCO has received reports of installations where a communicator sent a signal into a central station receiver and the NOC website shows that the receiver kissed-off the signal, but the signal was never processed by the automation. Upon examination, this issue has been attributed to corrupt data being misinterpreted as valid. See this Tech Note for complete details.

How to suppress a runaway signal or put a signal "on test".
The NAPCO NOC website (www.NapcoNoc.com) now features a Tools tab. You are presented with two options:
- "RADIO SIGNAL ON TEST"
This option suppresses the runaway signal at the radio; the signal will not appear in the log. This selection is preferred in a runaway situation.
- "NOC SIGNAL ON TEST"
This option suppresses the runaway signal at the NOC; the signal will appear in the log, but will dead-end at the NOC (not be forwarded to the central station).
Before performing either option, ensure to "Stun" the communicator to temporarily stop transmissions (click the "Send Stun Command" button is located at the top left).
After you have entered the relevant information under "ZONE", "CID", and/or "PULSE", add a check to either test option and click Save. When you are ready to remove the test / suppression, click Cancel.
