The MobileLink feature in the MVP Access app enables users to unlock doors and transfer data via Bluetooth technology, even when their phone is offline or not connected to a network. With MobileLink the phone acts as the data transfer conduit between the lock and the MVP Cloud. To enable this functionality, certain configurations are required to facilitate secure data transfer from the MVP Cloud to the lock. Data transfer is limited to one lock at a time, and the lock will be auto discovered via Bluetooth when the phone is in close Bluetooth range proximity. MobileLink enables users to download data or firmware while connected to the network and transfer it to a lock when the phone is offline, referred to as Offline Mode.
With MobileLink you eliminate the need for a Gateway or RF communication between the lock and the Gateway, simplifying the communication process.
