Why I am unable to add users with a PIN into my Marks IQ-Prox lock?
If you are unable to add users with a PIN into your Marks IQ-Prox lock, it is likely the GGM is programmed with a proximity card instead of a PIN. When you are changing your GGM for the first time, specifying a proximity card (in the "PIN" section of the GGM) will require both the UID and the proximity card be used to enter program mode. Under this condition, trying to add a 3-digit, 4-digit, or 5-digit PIN code user into this lock will not be allowed. Even if we require both a card and pin (specified in the software), the lock will not allow any PIN number under 6 digits in length to be added. However, the lock will accept a 6-digit PIN code user.
You can bypass this restriction by not specifying a card with your GGM, thus removing the length restrictions on PIN codes.
