FAQs
With the Marks software, what is the difference between a Basic Schedule and Group Schedule? How do I set each?
Basic Schedules and Group Schedules perform the same function, but in two different ways:
1. Basic Schedule: Used to limit user access codes based on a "Day Code" and "Time Range", as shown in the following steps.
a. In each Zone there is a Schedule option; right-click it and select "Add Schedule".
b. After the Add Schedule window opens, select Basic in the Schedule Type pull-down menu.
c. Select the days of the week from the Day Code pull-down menu.
d. Adjust the Start Time and End Time using the up and down arrows.
e. Basic Schedule Notes:
i. The Basic Schedule applies to all Groups added to the Zone.
ii. The option to select a Basic Schedule will not be available in the Schedule Type pull-down menu if a Group Schedule was previously set within the Zone.
2. Group Schedule: Affects only the individual Group added to the Zone; used to limit user access codes based on a "Day Code" and "Time Range", as shown in the following steps. Note: You cannot add a Group Schedule if a Basic Schedule is already set within the Zone.
a. Select the Group to which you want to set a schedule; right-click it and select "Add Schedule".
b. After the Add Schedule window opens, the Schedule Type pull-down menu will be grayed out (unchangeable).
c. Select the days of the week from the Day Code pull-down menu.
d. Adjust the Start Time and End Time using the up and down arrows.
