FAQs
Is a router needed whiling using a Trilogy Networx GEN 1 and Gen 2 Gateway and a Wireless Lock?
YES..
A router should be present on the network.
In the router, verify DHCP is enabled to provide the INITIAL IP address to the Gateway.
After the Gateway is discovered, it is very important to configure a static IP address to the Gateway. A range of static IP addresses must be reserved in the router and one of these static IP addresses should be assigned to the Gateway. To program in a static IP address into the Gateway, go to Gateway Network settings.
NOTE: A STATIC IP ADDRESS MUST BE USED AND IT SHOULD NEVER CHANGE.
VERY IMPORTANT: While initially configuring the IP address in the Gateway, the Gateway must be on the same subnet as the CardAccess 3000 host. Once the Gateway is configured, it could be moved to a different subnet.
