FAQs
With StarLink Commercial Fire communicators (Non "CFBPS" models) after every fire alarm reset, why is the restore signal delayed with a communication failure trouble?
Ensure that the communicator is powered by NON-RESETTABLE power. If the StarLink communicator is using Resettable Power, the StarLink communicator will power cycle every time the system is reset. You can research the activity by looking in yourSignal Log and your checkins (examples shown below):
In the Signal Log (shown above left), the first signal sent after the StarLink communicator is powered is a telco trouble followed by restores. In Checkins (above right), the StarLink communicator is power-cycling after every signal sent. StarLink Fire communicators must be powered from the FACP 12-24VDC non-resettable, regulated power. If your FACP does not have non-resettable regulated power available, please consider using a StarLink communicator "CFB-PS" model that is equipped with its own power supply.
