FAQs
How do I reset the various prox-only Trilogy locks, such as the Networx PL6100, ETPL, PL3500 and PL3000, back to their factory default settings?
To restore the "out of box" factory default settings:
Networx Models PL6100 / PL6200 / PL8200
- At the back of the lock, remove the lock housing screw and remove the cover.
- Take out battery pack and disconnect the battery pack plug.
- Short the two white wires (Remote Input wires) together for 30-40 seconds to ensure discharge of all capacitors. After 30-40 seconds, remove the short.
- Plug in the (provided) male shunt connector into the yellow wire female connector.
- With shunt connected, re-connect the battery pack. The lock will immediately sound 3 short beeps (if these 3 beeps are not heard, then restart at step 3).
- The lock will then sound 1 beep for every second it takes to clear the memory.
- After 2 rapid beeps are heard and 2 green LED flashes are seen, the lock is ready for programming / discovery.
T3 Trilogy Models ETPL / PL3500
- Remove the screw at the bottom of the lock rear housing and remove the cover.
- Take out the battery pack and remove battery power by disconnecting the battery pack.
- Present any card to the card reader 4 - 5 times to ensure discharge of all capacitors.
- Re-connect the battery pack. The lock will immediately sound 3 short beeps (if these 3 beeps are not heard, then restart at step 2).
- Within 3 seconds, press / hold down the outside door handle until the lock sounds 1 beep for every second it takes to clear the memory. The outside door handle may be released as soon as these beeps are heard. After a few more seconds, the LED will begin to slowly alternate between flashing red and green. Proceed immediately to enroll Function Cards:
- With the lock LED slowly alternating between flashing red and green, present any PROX card to the lock. The lock will count out 5 slow beeps, indicating the lock is about to enter "Function Card Enrollment Mode".
- The lock LED will flash green, and the sounder will beep rapidly. The lock is ready to enroll the Function Cards.
- Present Function Card #1 to the lock. The lock LED will flash green then red, with two beeps (indicating the card was enrolled successfully).
- Present Function Card #2 to the lock. Again, the lock LED will flash green then red, with two beeps.
- Continue to present, in order, Function Cards 3-9. Each time a new Function Card is presented, the lock LED will flash green then red, with two beeps.

- Continue to present, in order, Function Cards 3 - 9. Each time a new Function Card is presented, the lock LED will flash green then red, with two beeps. After the 9th Function Card is presented, the lock LED will flash green twice, sound two beeps, and will then remain silent, ready for use. Note: If the lock continues to beep after presenting the 9th Function Card, check to verify that the yellow wire shunt is disconnected. Note: If you only wish to use the first 3 Function Cards, simply allow the lock to "time out" after 30 seconds.
