FAQs
When reporting into an IP receiver, must the StarLink communicator be connected to the Internet?
No, the two communication technologies are independent of each other:
- IP Receiver: A central station receiver that allows signals to be transmitted over the Internet (IP) from the NAPCO NOC (www.NapcoNoc.com).
- IP Path: A Dual Path communicator with the ability to automatically select either of two communication pathways from the premise to the NAPCO NOC.
Note: A StarLink communicator does not need to be connected to the Internet to report to an IP receiver. All NAPCO StarLink communicators can be programmed at the NOC to report to a compatible IP receiver.
