With lock models DL4500 and/or PDL4500, if I rotate the interior tailpiece, there is no audible or visual response to indicate the lock has initiated Privacy Mode (i.e. valid User Codes still allow access).
When configuring a DL/PDL4500 lock for Privacy Mode, first ensure the two white wires (with the black plugs) are connected correctly. These wires are connected to the micro switch that controls the initiation of Privacy Mode. Second, ensure the disc under the micro switch is not misaligned (see photo below):
Lastly, in DL-Windows, ensure "Privacy Feature (Mode1)" is enabled in the Lock Profile. This will set Privacy Mode after the first successful communication between the lock and DL-Windows.
